1. Joining an Event

To join an event, open the Nextup app and select Join an Event. Enter the six-character access code provided in your invitation, or use the Scan QR Code option to scan the code shared by your organizer. No account registration or sign-up is required to join an event as a guest.

2. Access Code Not Received

Your access code is delivered via SMS or email at the time your organizer sends your invitation. If you have not received your code, check your SMS messages and email inbox, including any spam or filtered folders. If you are still unable to locate your code, contact your event organizer directly and request that the invitation be resent.

3. Schedule Not Loading or Displaying Incorrectly

Pull down on the schedule screen to refresh the content. If the issue persists, close the application completely and reopen it. Nextup requires an active internet connection to display and update event schedules in real time.

4. Venue Directions

Tap any activity in your schedule to open the activity detail view. If your organizer has added a venue address, a Directions button will be displayed. Tapping this button will open the location in Apple Maps or Google Maps.

5. Live Activities Not Appearing on Lock Screen

Live Activities display automatically when an event activity becomes active. To enable this feature, navigate to Settings, select Nextup, and confirm that Live Activities is turned on. Live Activities require iOS 16.1 or later.

6. Notifications Not Being Received

Confirm that notifications are enabled for Nextup by navigating to Settings, selecting Nextup, and reviewing your Notifications settings. Additionally, verify that Do Not Disturb or Focus modes are not preventing delivery. If you are not receiving SMS notifications, confirm with your organizer that the correct phone number was used when sending your invitation.
